Star Trek would be full of social commentary and stuff; end result is that the "Plato's Stepchildren" episode is host to the first interracial kiss shown on public television!
Also in the episode: hilarious outfits.
Kirk and Spock get to wear the sexy miniskirts (and OMG the Shat is showing off his gloriously hairless chest! And a nipple! Again!) while Uhura and Chapel, who are generally considered to be the sexiest female cast members, are stuck in granny pajamas. : (
